The project was an educational, artistic and musical proposal focused on the dissemination of the medieval kingdom of Galicia, developed in five secondary schools in the province of A Coruña.

The initiative combined didactic concerts, artistic murals and pedagogical materials to bring students to history, literature and medieval Galician music from a participatory and interdisciplinary perspective.

The muralist Raquel Germade created in each center a painting on a historical figure linked to the kingdom of Galicia, located in visible and cultural spaces such as libraries or language classrooms.

At the same time, the musician Xoán Curiel offered educational concerts with repertoire of medieval cantigas performed with traditional instruments, accompanied by historical explanations and moments of colloquium with the students. The didactic unit included - complied with the disc Treides with me! - served as support in the classrooms, allowing to work with the cantigas from a linguistic and historical perspective.

The project also included the audiovisual recording of activities and interviews with students, with the aim of generating a final teaser for social networks and disseminating the educational experience.

The collaboration with the teaching teams was key: synergies such as the participation of students in the concert, guided tours during the creation of the murals or the joint selection of the cantigas were proposed.

Cantigas and murals for the knowledge of the Kingdom of Galicia thus combined artistic expression, heritage, music and history, generating a lasting impact on the educational community and helping to highlight the memory of the Kingdom of Galicia among the youngest generations.
