Historical and cultural dissemination project that seeks to recover and give visibility to six relevant women of the Medieval Kingdom of Galicia through audiovisual formats adapted to the new forms of cultural consumption. The initiative combines historiographic rigor, a gender perspective and the languages of social networks to bring Galician medieval history to new and diverse audiences.
The project materialized in the creation of twelve audiovisual pieces: six short videos in vertical format for Instagram and TikTok and six longer videos for YouTube. The protagonists appear in a fictional conversation with a "time traveler", in a space set in the medieval era, combining historical information with a close and current tone. In addition, photographic sessions and informative infographics were carried out to complement the audiovisual content and facilitate the understanding of the biographies presented.
The proposal focuses on female figures who were important in the history of Galicia and who, in many cases, were relegated to traditional stories. Its main objective is to approach Galician medieval history from a gender perspective, transforming academic content into accessible, attractive materials adapted to current digital consumption habits. At the same time, it aims to foster interest in Galician historical memory and promote reflection on the role of women throughout history.
Complementarily, the project contemplates outreach actions in educational centers and a dissemination strategy based on social networks, favoring the creation of a community interested in the history and cultural heritage of Galicia. The initiative also stands out for its commitment to accessibility, sustainability and the promotion of Galician creative talent, both in the audiovisual, musical and artistic fields.
