Digital miniseries that sought to bring the history of the Kingdom of Galicia to today's audience through a modern, attractive and digestible format.
Structured in five short chapters, between 3 and 5 minutes long, this proposal mixed historical dissemination with audiovisual dynamism and an informal language, designed for digital platforms and for a mostly young audience.
Each episode started from a current idea to link it with a phenomenon or context of the Galician Middle Ages. Thus, topics such as medieval songs in relation to the Tanjugueiras phenomenon and the debates surrounding the language, or the current housing crisis compared to feudal structures and the dynamics of land ownership in the Middle Ages were discussed.
This methodology made it possible to establish bridges between the past and the present, making it clear that many of our concerns already existed centuries ago, albeit in different contexts.
The protagonist of the series was María Rúa (@pradorua), known for her ability to communicate in Galician on the networks. Its strength lay in the combination of historical rigor - thanks to the collaboration of specialists and screenwriters - with a format that followed in the footsteps of popular broadcasters such as Ter or Jaime Altozano, adapting the content to the dynamics of entertainment on social networks.
Conexión co Reino sought to awaken curiosity about medieval Galicia from an innovative and accessible perspective, becoming a useful resource both for the general public and for the educational field, by making history a tool for contemporary reflection.
