Cronaaventuras: The Kingdom of Galicia

Project that combines a fun part with a historical dissemination part through a cooperative card game set in the Kingdom of Galicia. The proposal started from the idea of accompanying a traveler in lost time in medieval Galician history, helping him to reconstruct the correct timeline while avoiding fictitious events that could cause interference in time.

This dynamic, based on cooperation and limited communication, allows players to develop skills such as critical thinking, teamwork and decision-making.

The main objective of the project was to bring Galician medieval history to non-academic audiences, with special attention to the educational community, encouraging interest in the past and questioning official historiographic accounts. For this, events and characters that have not been seen much were selected, with an emphasis on the presence of relevant women in the history of the Kingdom of Galicia, such as Sancha I, Urraca or María a Balteira.

The game had a portable design, accessible and without a board, designed to facilitate its use in different contexts, both school and cultural. In addition, it included a transmedia dimension thanks to augmented reality and an online wiki with extended information about the events depicted in each letter.
