It combined literary creation, dramatized stage reading and ancient music performed with original instruments to disseminate the history of the ancient kingdom of Galicia in the 14th and 15th centuries.
The proposal focused on the assembly of a show that mixed music and narration, with the collaboration of the old music group 1500, the actor Xosé Manuel Fernández Castro and the narrator and poet Eva Veiga. A program-catalog was also published that includes a text of historical fiction, several contributions of experts and three poems composed of contemporary Galician poets on the Pranto da Frouxeira.
The project began with a contextualizing activity carried out in Brión, where several specialists offered lectures on medieval music in Galicia and the historical context of the 14th and 15th centuries. During this event, the poetic compositions created for the occasion were also presented, which were music and played live.
The program-Catalog has been distributed among the local population and on social networks to expand its dissemination.
The assembly of the show entitled "I am from you very wonderful" was done after three days of artistic residence in Brión, where the pieces were rehearsed and connected with the public. During the assembly, the Galician artists, along with other guests from Austria and Catalonia, brought medieval history and music to the present.
The show took place at the church of Santa María de Los Angeles, in Brión, and was welcomed by around 85 people.
The project was also promoted through social networks and in collaboration with international institutions, such as Austria Kulturforum, expanding its visibility.
This project aimed to disseminate and deepen the knowledge of the history of Galicia, especially in the late medieval context, mixing literature, music and history to create a cultural and educational experience that connected with the wider and diverse audiences.
