Let's talk about the kingdom of Galicia

Series of audiovisual micropezas that addressed key issues of the medieval history of Galicia through six fundamental questions.

The initiative aimed to disseminate, in a rigorous and accessible way, episodes and historical figures little known or surrounded by myths.

The project was structured in six videos between five and six minutes, in which various specialists in medieval history have reflected on decisive moments of the Kingdom of Galicia.

The questions asked served as a starting point for analyzing the social, political and cultural reality of the time, dismantling wrong ideas and highlighting historical research.

The content discussed topics such as the existence of the Kingdom of Galicia, the footprint of the Swedish people in our culture, the leaders of the Irmandiña Revolt and the political reasons that may have been behind the inventory of the Apostle Santiago.

In addition, it delved into the importance of Xelmírez and the construction of the Cathedral of Santiago as a symbol of religious and political power.

The series went to a broad audience, especially adolescents and adults with an interest in history. With an informative and pedagogical tone, "Let's talk about the Kingdom of Galicia" sought to differentiate between facts and myths, sources and legends, bringing a deeper and contrasting knowledge about a fundamental period to understand the historical evolution of Galicia.
