Web project to publicize the fortified heritage of the province of A Coruña. The initiative sought to fill an existing information gap, since until now there was no Galician platform that gathered, from an informative and touristic perspective, information about medieval and modern castles and fortresses in the territory.

The website covers the period between the Swabian Kingdom and the administrative centralization of 1833, a date considered by various historians as the end of the Kingdom of Galicia as a political entity.

To facilitate access to the public, the platform is structured around an interactive map with descriptive sheets of each fortification, photo galleries, recommended routes and texts prepared by specialists in medieval history.

The contents of the page are organized into several sections: an introduction to fortified landscapes, information on medieval castles and modern fortresses, a selection of tourist itineraries and a download section with publications and routes in digital formats.

The website was designed with responsive technology to ensure optimal viewing on all devices and had a scalable system that allowed the future expansion of the catalog.

Aimed both at the general public and at fans of history and cultural tourism, FOREGA serves as a key tool for the dissemination and preservation of the fortified heritage of A Coruña, facilitating their knowledge and encouraging their visit.
