The audiovisual project "History of the Kingdom of Galicia in 10 minutes" consisted of the creation of a didactic and informative video designed to bring, in a brief but rigorous way, the main historical milestones of the Kingdom of Galicia to a wide and non -specialized audience.
The video, of a total duration of ten minutes, was produced entirely in Galician and thought as an accessible resource, useful for both its online dissemination and use in educational environments, especially in primary, secondary and high school environments.
Through a clear and visually attractive narrative, the project has traveled the main moments of the history of the Kingdom of Galicia since 411, with the arrival of the Swedes, until its disappearance as a political-administrative entity with the reform of 1833.
The piece highlighted key issues such as the role of women, the territorial evolution of the kingdom, the importance of the Galician language in the Middle Ages, the Jacobean phenomenon, the vigor of the Galician-Portuguese lyric or the relevance of the historical heritage of the province of A Coruña.
Every minute of the video treated a specific thematic block, offering a panoramic but careful view of the historical Galician evolution. This format has allowed to adapt the history to the current digital consumption, using a free support, accessible from multiple devices, and with a clear vocation to promote knowledge, critical thinking and the visibility of the Galician legacy forgotten by the official historiography.
