SPECIAL NUMBER OF THE CHILDREN AND YOUTH JOURNAL O PARPAGAIO, who brought the girl to the history of the Kingdom of Galicia in the Middle Ages in a fun and didactic way. The publication addressed fundamental aspects of the time, such as everyday life, kings and queens, nobles, peasants, craftsmen and troubadours. He also unveiled historical characters such as Pardo de Cela, María Castaña and María Balteira, as well as key episodes such as As Irmandiñas Revoltas and the separation between Galician and Portuguese.
The newspaper included illustrated reports, visual games, interviews with specialists, comics and historical stories, combining different formats to capture the interest of children and youth. Through detailed illustrations, it was shown how the medieval cities, their different spaces and the trades that were developed there.
With content created by renowned specialists and illustrators, this specimen combined dissemination and entertainment, becoming a useful educational tool for schools and libraries. Was distributed in more than 700 schools, bookstores and through its digital platform www.opapagaio.gal. A trip to the past that has allowed to discover, in a pleasant and rigorous way, the richness of the Galician medieval legacy.
