Through these blocks, fortresses, monasteries, trade routes, legends and religious transformations are analyzed which help to understand the political, economic and cultural evolution of the Galician territory during the Middle Ages.
Each piece connects historical events with the places where they happened, strengthening the relationship between heritage and collective memory.
The proposal is complemented by a specific website that brings together all the materials generated and incorporates an interactive map to locate the different historical scenarios covered. In addition, a QR code system has been developed that facilitates immediate access to content from mobile devices, favoring its use in cultural visits, educational activities and tourism promotion initiatives.
Along with the audiovisual production, the project promoted dissemination actions through social networks and contact with cultural entities, educational centers and local administrations, expanding the scope of the materials and encouraging their use as a divulgative resource. The result is a free access tool that uses contemporary formats to provide citizens with knowledge about the Kingdom of Galicia and contribute to the enhancement of its historical heritage.
