Historical dissemination project focused on the origin of the Swabian Kingdom of Galicia, formulated around a card game with a playful, didactic and family vocation. With a simple mechanic, accessible to all audiences, the game seeks to arouse interest in the medieval history of Galicia through interaction with cards that represent historical characters, social groups, objects, places, beliefs and relevant cultural elements of the time.
The project is based on a rigorous and informative approach that is reflected both in the design of the dynamics and in the visual aesthetics and narrative of the cards. The game experience is set in the context of the decay of the Roman Empire and the Germanic invasions, where the players must consolidate the Suevian Kingdom of Galicia through political, religious, economic and military strategies.
To expand the scope of the game, the project is completed with two associated products:
- A complementary website, in which historical context, explanatory sheets of each letter, visual resources and interactive elements such as infographics, animations or 3D visors are offered. The web includes QR codes on one's own letters to link specific content and strengthen cross -cutting learning.
- Didactic unit, designed for educational centers, libraries and cultural entities, with the aim of facilitating the pedagogical use of the game as a tool for supporting the curriculum. Materials promote historical knowledge from a gender, inclusive and accessible perspective.
The project is mainly aimed at a Galician audience between 15 and 44 years old, with a special focus on people interested in history and board games. The distribution is foreseen in bookstores, specialized stores, museums, tourist and online offices. The design and production of the cards was done with criteria of sustainability and local impact, using ecological materials and Galician processes.
