    Alexandre Peres Vigo

    (Trasancos, 1982)

    Graduated in Humanities from the University of A Coruña, he also has a doctorate from this same institution.

    His main line of research focuses on the study of the anti-Galician stereotype and Galaicophobia, namely in relation to the literary and paremiological expression of this phenomenon. He developed his doctoral thesis in this same area of ​​study Genesis and consolidation of the ancient Galician stereotype in Spanish literature of the Modern Age, directed by Professor Manuel Ferreiro in the Official Doctoral Program in Linguistic Studies of the UDC.

    He has participated in academic and journalistic publications in various areas of Galician culture, either in relation to the image of the Kingdom of Galicia and the Galicians in Castilian literature, or in relation to the literary and sociolinguistic implications of Galaicophobia. On these lines of action, he is currently part of the Galician Linguistic and Literary Research Group (UDC).

    After teaching at different levels of secondary and high school, he is currently a professor in the Galician and Portuguese Philology Department at the University of A Coruña
