The project vindicates the figure of Urraca, feudal queen and first titular monarch in the history of Spain and Europe, through a transmedia documentary that explores her life and legacy. With the sentence of oblivion to which she was subjected after her death, this project seeks to rescue her true story as a pioneer of feminism in a world ruled by men.

Through an innovative and informative approach, the project is divided into three main sections:

• Magpie in his voice:
  • The main axis is a documentary divided into four segments, where Urraca, played by a Galician actress, narrates her life in the first person. His voice reaches the present day in interviews and podcasts, facilitating convenient and educational access to content.
  • These resources explore the key episodes in her life, including her struggles as a wife and queen, and the reasons that led her to leave her own history-warmed story unrecorded.
• Magpie in pictures:
  • It includes interviews with experts, such as María del Carmen Pallarés, Pilar García Negro or Esther Pascua Echegaray, who contextualize the figure of Urraca in his time.
  • In addition, animations created by an emerging Galician artist are presented, recreating outstanding moments of his life, providing a didactic and visually attractive perspective.
• Magpie in motion:
  • Virtual and in-person routes have been developed through emblematic places related to the queen in Galicia and León, promoting the link between heritage, tourism and education. These routes offer added value to discover the medieval natural and monumental heritage.

The project stood out for its broad dissemination strategy, which combined campaigns on social networks, collaborations with feminist groups and a dedicated website.

The website functions as a multidisciplinary space that collects all audiovisual and transmedia material, with an accessible and informative approach.

Educational centers were contacted to promote the pedagogical use of the project, providing female references to study programs.

We also worked with tourist guides and cultural entities from Galicia and Castile and León to integrate the project into the heritage and institutional sphere.
